 Artist BIO
Cristina Pinheiro
An actress, director and interpreter of the verse. She graduated from CAL (Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras), and has acted as an authentic form of her own representation in different shows. Since 2000, Cristina has been working as a theater director. For almost four complete seasons she has worked in picking verses for this Cinema de Poesia, directing non-actors, actors and objects. In the direction of art, script, camera, production… wherever one looks Cristina multiplies. Nowadays she works on the first feature of Cinema de Poesia, Antonin Van Artaud Gogh. Her line of research has as a foundation the art-goal, where she is strongly influenced by the poet, actor, and dramatist Antonin Artaud.
Andre Scucato
A poet, language researcher, studies poetry applied to all arts. Together with Cristina Pinheiro, he has produced 50 short movies and two documentaries. Andre works as a journalist doing documentaries and TV shows for the Brazilian television. As a journalist, he works for TV Educativa do Brasil. He has written eight books, two plays, and many songs for the movies and television. A teacher of cinematographic montage, Andre works as a consultant in the area of new technologies and does research on artistic language. He has as his main study the work of Jean Cocteau, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Antonin Artaud, Van Gogh, Tarkowski and Kielowski.
