Artist BIO
The Specimen is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/ and multi-musician Matt Gorny, who spent his childhood in Poland, under the protection of the communist bloc. At twelve, Gorny’s family moved to New York City's multicultural oasis â€" Brooklyn, which provided the creative environment and inspiration he needed to make music. He eventually found his way into the clutches of Grammy Award winning production team GoodandEvil (aka Danny Blume and Chris Castagno) that has worked with an array of diverse artists including Felix Da Housecat, The B-52’s, Kelis, Naty Botero, Beyonce and Ludacris. The Specimen songs are featured in two films at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, and in a reality TV show on the Bravo Channel. A remix done with GoodandEvil won first place in a competition and is included on the album by the ...
