Vins Blake discovered his passion for film directing back in high school when he took his place behind the camera to direct a scientific documentary “commissioned” by one of his professor. Despite the amateur equipment and the small nature of the project, the resulting film proved Vins’s directing talent. The quality of the film is such that to date, the documentary is used by the school’s professors as studying material.
Science and art have always been part of Blake’s DNA: while attending Milan’s scientific University “Bicocca” he teamed with actor Thomas Kadman, produced and directed documentaries for the arch-diocese of Milan, music-videos and short films. Together they have opened the London based film production company MediaShade Pictures. Their first short film “I See” went on winning the Best satire award at the New York Int. Indep. Film&Video Fest.
Vins and Thomas have recently completed their third short “Imagined” while “Be.Fore”, a “Big budjet short” is on its post-production fase, where large amount of CG is needed.
