Jamison Steinberg was born on June 22nd, 1976 in West Covina California. His passion of film started back in his childhood years when he discovered his parent’s video camera. In 1996 Jamison studied film at Santa Monica Jr. College. In 2000, Jamison founded Stonemountain Productions. He gathered a crew and actors and started filming his first feature length film, “Runaway Poles”, a comedy about a man who talks to imaginary people. The film was accepted into The Great Lakes Film Festival and the New York Film Festival. His second feature length film was “The Fears of Tade”, a psychological thriller about a man overcoming his many fears. Jamison’s recent project which was completed on November 5th 2005, is the horror short film entitled “ The Shed.” Jamison’s credits include director, writer, editor, cinematography, and producer. Jamison now resides in Apple Valley California.

We began filming The Shed on a cold November 14th 2004. The filming took place in Apple Valley, California for two nights. The filming process was fairly simple and smooth. The musical score was a different story though. I completed the film in March of 2005. The runtime of the film came in at 9 minutes and 10 seconds long. The score was finished at this time but I was not satisfied with it. Months went by tweaking the music to give it that scary tone. At one time I had three musicians working on the film. Finally, a year after we wrapped filming, the final score was produced and I fell in love with it. Mark Torres put together a creepy score that sets the mood of the film very well. On November 5th 2005, “The Shed” was finally completed. All 9 minutes and 10 seconds of it.

VIDEO SYNOPSYS
A short film about two college boy's renting a house for the school year. They stumble upon an old shed with a mysterious book. When they begin to read the book strange things begin to happen as if the events in the book were happening at the same time they are reading it. Which is scary, because the book is about a serial killer. |
